Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Plyy — the desktop app, AI features, publishing service, and this website. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

The service

Plyy lets you build Astro websites visually, edit them with AI assistance, and publish them to a subdomain we host. The service is in active development ("beta"): features may change, and we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Your account

Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be legally able to enter this agreement.

Your content

Your projects and published sites are yours — we claim no ownership of your code, content, or designs. You grant us the technical license needed to host and serve the sites you choose to publish. You are responsible for the content you publish: nothing illegal, infringing, deceptive, or harmful. We may take down published sites that violate this and may suspend accounts for abuse of the service, including attempts to circumvent usage limits.

AI features

AI-generated code and content are produced by third-party models and come with no guarantee of correctness, security, or fitness for any purpose — review before relying on them. You own the output of AI edits applied to your projects, to the extent permitted by the model providers' terms. AI usage is metered against your plan's included credits and any purchased credit packs.

Plans & payments

Payments are processed by Polar as merchant of record; their terms apply to the transaction. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; cancelling stops future charges and access to paid features runs to the end of the paid period. Included AI credits reset each billing month and do not roll over; purchased credit packs do not expire. Refunds are handled case by case through Polar.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Keep your own backups — projects live on your machine, and the GitHub backup feature exists for exactly this.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
